Voulette Hattar

Voulette Hattar is an organizer with the Palestinian Youth Movement in the Bay Area. Her mother is from Yaffa in Palestine; her father is from As-Salt in Jordan. She studied Ethnic Studies and Arabic and currently works for the Middle East Children's Alliance in Berkeley, CA. She honors the strength of the women that have come before her through her work as a means to speak with them, as a means to fight with them, as a means to crawl out from the silences they have been forced to swallow for generations.
